In January 2021, SDRJ staff embarked on a Service Gap Analysis study, analyzing the number of free and/or low-income programs available to people residing in Greater Sudbury, Espanola, Manitoulin and Chapleau.

The purpose of this study was to determine where gaps in service caused people to be at risk or come to harm, the causes of these gaps in service, and methods to close the gaps using existing services. As a result of this study, SDRJ developed the free services database, found on this website.
